Steampunk Exhibition at the History of Science Museum

I can hardly wait To go into town next week We are being graced with the brilliant "Worlds First Steampunk Art Exhibition" at the History of Science Museum.

I can hardly believe that this hasn't happened before, Oxford is a prime place for inspiration for all things Steampunk and I was beginning to loose hope that anything like this come to my back door.

I must be there on the 7th for the portraits, the 9th for the films, the 27th for the Christmas themed evening, the 16th for the makers day, not to mention the 30th of Jan for the fashion show.


Not to mention popping in just to browse at every possible inclination.


I am however furious about the factthat if I had not gone to the bookbinding yesterday I would have had no knowledge of this at all as there was No advertising at all anywhere in the town nor in the leaflets I pick up about general arty stuff in Oxford

Bodleian Library- An Artful Craft - Bookbinding Exhibition

I finally managed to go to see the exhibitionof Bookbinding at the Bodleian Library Exhibition Room. There were some beautiful examples of eastern and western leather and goldwork as well as some fabric, beaded and painted pieces. Photography was not permitted but I managed to get a guide leaflet that I will scan in and post at a later date
